Before moving to Mallorca his cruising grounds included UK waters, Holland, Belgium, France, Atlantic Spain and Portugal. He has made more Biscay crossings than he cares to remember and has also skippered two transatlantic crossings and sailed extensively in the Grenadines. He has held the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Yachtmaster Certificate for twenty years and has been a Yachtmaster Instructor for ten years. He has lived in Andratx for the past three years.
Deciding that living a life in the sunshine would be far preferable than under the grey skies of England, Linda packed up a rucksack and headed out to the Mediterranean. Leaving behind an exciting career in film and theatre in London, Linda swapped film premieres for oilskins and trained as a sailing instructor in the cold waters of the Solent and English Channel before setting her sights on the warmer waters of Mallorca. After running highly successful sailing courses as part of the Solaris team throughout the previous season, Linda finished off the year with a transatlantic crossing from the Balearics to Antigua. Linda is a valued member of the Solaris team and looks forward to an enjoyable 2006 season.
